Principles & Approach
My approach to design and marketing is rooted in clarity, trust, and momentum. I believe good systems empower the people who use them, rather than gatekeeping knowledge behind process or personalities. The best brands are the ones that can be used confidently by the people closest to the work, with tools, templates, and guidance that protect the brand while still allowing it to breathe.
I aim for work that creates alignment instead of friction. That means building design solutions that feel intuitive, usable, and supportive, and fostering collaborative relationships that keep projects moving forward. Good outcomes tend to follow good energy, and I’m intentional about bringing a calm, constructive presence to teams, especially when the work is complex or the stakes are high.
Where I’ve Worked
Most of my professional experience has been inside a large, regulated law firm environment, where I’ve progressed through multiple design roles across marketing and innovation teams. I began in firm-wide marketing, with responsibility for brand ownership, external-facing materials, and internal communications, before moving into the firm’s innovation group. In that role, I work directly with the firm’s clients on sensitive, confidential materials and am held to the same billing and professional standards as attorneys.
Across both departments, I’ve operated in highly collaborative, committee-driven environments with complex stakeholder dynamics. The work spans brand stewardship, strategic communications, client-facing deliverables, and internal reporting, often under conditions where accuracy, discretion, and accountability are non-negotiable. The firm currently employs over 1,500 people, and much of my experience is rooted in large-scale organizations with real reputational and regulatory risk.
In parallel, I maintain a selective freelance practice, working with mid-sized companies in technology, health, and finance, as well as local nonprofit organizations. Earlier in my career, I spent significant time in fast-paced print and production environments, building a strong technical foundation that continues to inform how I approach design systems, file preparation, and execution today.
